Sculpture: maid in america
4” x 6” x 5”
Sixteen-year-old Lois DeLand from Joliet, Illinois became Miss America in 1927. Her winnings were a scepter, a Bulova watch and an Oldsmobile. She was entitled to have a screen test as well. However, she never took advantage of the last opportunity. Of particular interest is the “message and address” appearing on the reverse of the postcard.
